Jofacilitator Contradictional Thinking 6 Jul 25 2009, 12:17 AM EDT by steveharrington

Duncan and I are working on a 3-day course on "Organizational Transformation", to be offered in April. It will include some things on the Social Process, the Organizational Dynamics from Priscilla's book, the Org Journey map, and a few other things. One section will be on "contradictional thinking", as an underlying thinking process that identifies the deep underlying contradiction that catalyzes (and makes necessary) organizational transformation.

What tools have you used for organizational transformation? How do you get a group to think deeply and challenge themselves to identify their own really deep contradictions?

Jofacilitator "Inclusive Context" 1 Feb 21 2009, 9:47 PM EST by Jofacilitator

I need a starting point for a discussion on setting teamwork within a larger, inclusive context as in "history-long and world-wide". This is for a section of our new Advanced Tools course where we'll be teaching Frameworking and Historical Scan as tools.

I've thought of Meg Wheatley, but there might be something old or new that is better.

Anybody got any ideas?

Take care,
Jo

JimR_Vanguard Whistlepoints / Project Phasing Tactics 3 Jun 14 2008, 11:33 PM EDT by icalarry

In the ICA Associates (Canada) course "Meetings that Work", there is a list of descrite facilitation tools (or tactics) to use during meetings. Is there a similar list (maybe from Community Development Intensive) that lists specific tactics or ideas to implement the main "Whistlepoints" dynamics (Impact, Demonstration, Training, Interchange)? Working in a health care facility, my goal is to work through internal "champions" to start shifting the negative attitude/tone/focus of staff to more positive perspective.
